DGS Finalizer Component

Marks this data and any of its parents in the DGS System as REVOKED, skipping retained items and stopping at forks as appropriate. The purpose of this component is to indicate that the pipeline is finished with the given item and that this item, along with any items it was derived from, are no longer needed and, therefore, should not remain stored on partner systems. This process does not revoke any items that are marked RETAINED, which allows for the natural case where data is shared with a partner who generates some derivative data (such as a report) and sends it back. That report can be marked as RETAINED, and then passed into the DGS Finalizer so that the original data gets removed from the partner system. 

This component will stop processing the up the tree when it encounters a parent that has other children that are still active (i.e. not REVOKED, RETAINED, or DELETED). That item’s status is left unchanged, and no further processing up that tree is done.  Processing will continue up any parallel parent trees that might have been found.

Input Channels

data — Accepts a PipelineData that will, along with its parents, have its status updated to REVOKED, subject to the limitations described above.
